Rct3 AFE Guide

This guide was written by me in mid 2006. It is a complete introduction and breakdown of the Advanced Fireworks Editor(AFE) in roller coaster tycoon 3(RCT3). It will focus on basic skills and touch on advanced concepts. I also plan to outline the different functions in the AFE to give and basic knowledge of their use. I thought it lost for ever when I found an old archive version of it from august 2008 on the wayback machine. It will remain hosted here for archival purposes.

1. Introduction
*******************************************************************************
This guide is a basic introduction into the creation of fireworks in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3's(RCT3) Advanced Fireworks Editor(AFE). It will focus on basic skills and touch on advanced concepts. I also plan to outline the different functions in the AFE to give and basic knowledge of their use.

1.1 Requirements
RCT 3
Guido Fawkes cheat(vanilla) or able to open AFE.

1.2 Definitions and terms used
In this guide i will use terms for different items, here is a use full list of terms used.

RCT3 Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
AFE Advanced Fireworks Editor
Parent Particle before the current one
Child Particle after the current one
Shell Main launching firework
Star The result of the explosion of the shell(the stars are inside the shell)
Tail Particles that burn off the back of the shells or stars(leaves a tail of particles)
Emitter Releases particles

1.3 Recommended items
Either retail with no expansions or patches or a dual install with the retail no expansions being the one used to make the fireworks. The AFE is harder to use in soaked/wild and update 2. This also allows you to make fireworks everyone is able to use.
